And in the Beginning...

I have been looking at blogs for a while...and I wanted one, too! Now it is just a matter of figuring out exactly how to put it all together...so we'll see how it goes. I wanted to create this blog to try and capture the insanity and wonder that is our day to day life. Another reason is that I am a person who loves lists...so, a blog was a sure fire winner with me. I like the idea of listing what our curriculum is...what books we are reading...our favorite links. I have already sent out a plea for help to Darcy at Graphically designing...so a transformation is already in the works.

I would describe myself as a parsley person. What is that you ask? That is a person who likes the presentation...the person who likes the little details...but then forgets about the meat and potatoes on the plate. So...being a parsley person...I have been trying to come up with a title for this blog for days! I asked my husband, he had no brilliant suggestions. I asked my daughter...she had some "interesting" suggestions. When I told her my idea of "sunshine and lemonade" she thought it was lame. But then when I explained the idea of "tounge in cheek," she agreed it made a fabulous blog title...because that IS my life...all sunshine and lemonade!

So...vote early and often...come back and see my lists...pictures...and hopefully some wonderful parsley for your viewing and reading pleasure.

Darcy made my header, awhile back...I'm sure she'll do a fabulous job for you!

  23. And I like the presentation as well although I'm also a meat and potatoes type to an extent. I guess I'm about the entire package, more than anything. But I love lists, can't live without my lists and like the idea of using the blog to organize our lives and recount our lives, at the same time.

  24. As far as your blog name is concerned, I LOVE it! Love the humor of it. I thought about names for mine for weeks. But it always came back to something about fairies, pixies and princesses. The girls are what the blog is about so I went with their wishes. Darcy did an incredible job of bringing our blog to life for us visually. Now if I can just keep it breathing. hee hee
