Weekend Whimsies

I am not sure how I missed doing a Friday post. Oh, wait. Yes, I do. It's because I got nothin. Nada. Zilch. This is why you can now do all the work:

Idealist or a realist?

What do you like to eat for breakfast?

What was the best thing you saw on TV this week?

High or low maintenance?

spender or a saver?

What are you allergic to?

What is your favorite color? What color looks best on you?

Ever been on a blind date?

Have you ever held ANY elected office?

If you could change ONE thing about your appearance, what would it be?

  1. So very much an idealist. Living with a realist. We do our own version of checks and balances.

A banana. A huge handful of vitamins. And a sausage and egg lean pocket.

Fringe. I swear that show gets better with each episode.

High. Very high. Oxygen sucking high.

Does it just logically follow that I'm a high maintenance idealist that I must be a spender? I thought so. This is why I don't have to do the grocery shopping here. Another checks and balance - Michael is the saver.

All varieties of pollen. Shrimp skin. Latex.

Green and purple. To wear: Really dark purple. Or browns.

    Yes.

Yes. I was something in the Latin club. But I don't recall what. I was treasurer of my church many years ago. And learned to never ever take a position on church council again.

That my hips did not have shelf like proportions...

  2. Oh, most definitely a realist living with an idealist which makes me even more of a realist.

I don't eat breakfast. I do love veggie omelettes but I don't eat them often.

I was hoping it would be the VP debate but no such luck. Ummmmmm, I'll go with Desperate Housewives.

Not so much high maintenance as I used to be but I'm probably on the high end of low maintenance. Make sense?

  3. I wasn't done. Sorry about that....

I'm a spender who is trying harder than ever to save. And my husband is a spender also which frightens me horribly. I used to be more of a saver and his bad habits have worn off on me. ;(

  4. So I hit some random key and have no idea what happened but anyway, I'm back to hopefully answer the rest of these questions.

I am allergic to .........BENADRYL! Can you imagine? I stepped on a wasp in my early 20's and my entire foot swelled up immediately. So I went to the ER because it was so swollen, I couldn't walk. They gave me a shot of benadryl and before I could leave the hospital, my entire body looked like an oompa loompa. So, I discovered, at that point that I am allergic to Benadryl.

My favorite color - I don't have just one. I love chocolate brown and black. Love gray also. People comment when I wear olive green because olive green makes my green eyes stand out.

Nope, no blind dates for me.

I was an assistant township assessor in high school and college but it wasn't elected. It was an appointed position by the elected assessor.

The additional post-baby weight that I've never lost.

  5. I was harassing you on Twitter-- saying it's not Friday without Follies!

    I'm an optimistic realist.

I *love* breakfast. Especially from the Original Pancake House (not to be mistaken for IHOP) and the Waffle House (which we don't have up here). I love French Toast, and waffles, and sausage patties.

Best thing I saw was Dexter! (But I'm obsessed with the show, so I'll say The Daily Show.)

    LOW maintenance, but particular.

bargain shopper who should save what she saves.

technically, I'm not allergic to anything, but my brain is "sensitive" to all kinds of stuff, so I am plagued with Chronic Daily Migraine. meh.

Purples and blues are my favorite, and they look best on me.

I did when I tried online dating many years ago. Actually had some fun dates!

I was the Standards Chairman of my sorority for three years, and was elected to the Board of Directors of my neighborhood association when I lived in Georgetown.

I would get leg transplants. I've wished I had Tina Turner's legs ever since Private Dancer came out.

  6. Me, too! I am an idealist... living with a realist

I usually don't eat breakfast... if I do, it more than likely is just a bowl of cereal. But of we go out for breakfast, then I go all out: pancakes or waffles, bacon, toast or biscuits, hashbrown casserole, fresh fruit...

Life... and I was treated to two new episodes (Mon and Fri) and its on twice next week, too! Woo hoo! I thought it was the best new drama last year. And Damien Lewis is just adorable.

High maintenance... have you not seen my twitter icon??? ;)

I am so a spender... who needs to be more of a saver.

    I don't have any allergies.

I can't pick just one fave color... I really like earth tones and jewel tones and think these are the colors I look best in

never been on a blind date

no I have never held any elected office

I am ok with my size, but I want to be more toned and firm

SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN. YOU HAVE TO DREAM, BUT NOT GET SO LOST IN THEM YOU FORGET TO CLEAN THE TOILET.

What do you like to eat for breakfast? CHOCOLATE CHEX!

What was the best thing you saw on TV this week?
VP DEBATES---THAT'S THE ONLY THING I SAW THIS WEEK!

High or low maintenance? I NEED SOME EMOTIONAL VALIDATING, BUT OTHER THAN THAT, VERY LOW.

spender or a saver? LOVE SAVING FOR THE PURPOSE OF SPENDING :)

    What are you allergic to?PENICILLIN

What is your favorite color? What color looks best on you? BROWN, ORANGE, GREEN---AND THEY ALL LOOK GOOD ON ME :)

Ever been on a blind date?

Have you ever held ANY elected office? STUDENT COUNCIL, HOMESCHOOL GROUP VP

If you could change ONE thing about your appearance, what would it be? MY FACE

  8. A realist. Such a realist.

Pancakes and sausage. Don't do that very often. Oh, and hash browns, because is it really a meal if it doesn't include some form of potato?

I didn't see much that was good. Grey's wasn't on, so I'll go with Private Practice.

Low maintenance most of the time.

Saver, but I do like to shop.

    Allergic to the cillins.

I love green, and I look good in it. I also love brown/blue together.

Several. I was the frequent dater of the out-of-town cousins in high school. Met the husband on kind of a random date, although we were in a group of people.

Have you ever held ANY elected office?

If you could change ONE thing about your appearance, what would it be?

  9. I'm going to do this, but it will have to be later because I have to go coach a soccer team game this morning, my son's team made up of 6-7 yr old boys. Can you HEAR the excitement in my voice? NO? Well, that's because it's NOT THERE!

  13. I was looking all day for your Friday post !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think I'm a half and half. I have my realist side and my idealist side. Sometimes they argue with each other, but most of the time they balance each other out!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I really like eggs, black pudding, fried tomatoes, hash browns, sauted mushrooms and bacon. MmmmMmmm...

But in deference to my arteries, I usually have yoghurt, berries and Fibre One.

But we do have a big breakfast on Sundays. No black pudding though. haven't been able to find it here. :-(

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm not an Idealist or a realist? I'm an indecisive Confucius.

I like a hot chai tea for breakfast.

I didn't watch any TV this week except Ghost Whisperer. I DVR'ed all my shows though, so I will watch them eventually.

    I'm low maintenance.

I'm more of a saver, but that's hard to do when you don't have money to save!

    I have seasonal allergies.

I like jewel tones. Like deep reds, blues, purples and greens. I like to wear them too. but I look good in black and pink too.

Ever been on a blind date? nope.

I think I was on student council in middle school.

If you could change ONE thing about your appearance, what would it be? I'd love to lose more weight!

    Coffee.

Office wasn't on this week. So, I've got nuttin'.

    Low. definitely LOW.

Both. Strong saver tendencies, but a total spender with photography goods...

Spiders. For sure, I'm allergic to spiders. I should never be near them. Never.

I love all colors. Dark purple and periwinkle blue look pretty good on me, methinks.

    Nope.

    Nope.

My nose. It's crooked, hooked (been broken at least twice), and downright ugly. I forbid profile pictures at all times. So I guess I'm high maintenance in that respect, at least.

    Happy Saturday, Kat!

  34. I'm a combo.

I LIKE to eat cake for breakfast, in an IDEAL world, being fed to me by a buffed out man, but I am a REALIST and know oatmeal with blueberries is much better for my health (well, physical health, anyway).

Not much of a TV watcher. Don't think I watched anything this week.

HIGH when I want something or my way (I am an only child) but Sweetie says I'm pretty low maintenance and easy to please.

SPENDIN' all your money on me...

  43. I'm laughing at Rhea!

    Here goes:

I am an idealist and a realist, dependinng on the situation. I'm also pragmatic. Ha!

Sausage Toaster Scramblers. Every. Day. I'm obsessed.

I watched little TV--due to being on vacation. Scott & I watched the last half hour of Titanic on Saturday night. The ship sank. Jack died. Same ol, same ol'...I thought they might make it this time, but no. Sigh...

I am extremely low maintenance. In my head, at least.

Both...I'm married to an extreme saver, which blessedly keeps me from spending as much as I'd like. We balance each other.

I'm allergic to sulfa drugs. Boring, I know. And typical stuff like ragweed.

    PINK!!!! PINK!!!! PINK!!!!

I worked very hard to rid myself of the horrible memory of my only blind date. Thanks for bringing it up. Ugh.

Yes, I was on student council all through high school. Only because I was in the most apathetic homeroom. And because I wanted an extra pic in the yearbooks.

I would like to be 5'11". And with a flat stomach. Not too much to ask, huh?
