Free is the language my husband speaks

Guess where I am going at the end of the month? I am going to see the Atlanta Falcons play the San Diego Chargers! For Free.

When I called to ask my husband if he wanted to go to the game. He got all coy on me. Wanting to know if it was pre-season or regular season. When. And most importantly how much. When he heard that it was free, I believe I could hear the tap, tap of his shoes as he did a happy dance around his office.

I have never been to a pro football game. I've never really watched one on tv. Well. Except for the superbowl. But that was just for the commericals. And the half time show. However, I am really excited to be going to one. There is something about being caught up in the moment. The hoopla. The excitement. The $6 diet cokes.

So...how did I get this cool hook-up? I heard about it first from Shannon. Who directed me to Event Chasers. They have members go to events. Blog about their experiences. And in exchange, we get free or drastically discounted tickets. Go check it out and see if they need members in your area!

So...what about you? Have you ever been to a pro football game? Do you watch football on tv? Do you have a favorite sport?

How neat. I'll have to check it out. Greg and my family members have been to football and baseball games, but I never have.

I'll watch it on TV, but I'm not into the crowd. Maybe I'll go once, just to know the experience.

My ex-husband was a huge football fan and he dragged me to a Cowboys game once. My advice: take binoculars. The players wear those tight pants commando and the binoculars will make the huddles all the more interesting!

I believe "free" is Shane's favorite language as well.

The Titans/Buccs game on Saturday will be my first pro football game. Don't really watch football on TV... Shane might catch a game now and then. And I'll watch in passing...

Now THAT is really cool! I am a Cardinals Baseball FANATIC! Well, a fan. I do watch almost every game. You will have a blast at the football game I bet. It will be a fun atmosphere (and plenty of tight pants to see) ;)

That sounds GREAT!! My husband says that walking into Lambeau Field to watch the Packers is a religious experience. This way, football worship would be free again:-)

Football is most definitely the only sport I will tolerate on TV. And only if the Colts are playing. :)

SUPER COOL! And being a life long Charger fan (the family has had season tickets since the 70's, when it was CHEAP and the Chargers SUCKED) I have to tell you how green I am! I'm stuck here in MD with no hope of seeing my Bolts. Can I come down south for a visit? he he

That is a great link! I wonder if someone in south georgia has a chance - hehe.

I have never been to a pro football game (a college game once). I do not have the attention span to watch a full game on tv, but love the superbowl commercials and the last 15 minutes of the game. Usually pretty exciting :)

I've never been to a pro football game. Cause I'm not into pro football. Except, like you, for the Superbowl.

Now...
College football?
YES, PLEASE! My most favorite sport ever. And I think we all know my most favorite team ever. Ahem--GO DAWGS!!!--cough, cough.

I hope the Falcons win. I always root for the Georgia teams. Except for Georgia Tech. Word.

Football bores me to tears, but sadly I've sat through a few games.

The only pro games I've been to are baseball and hockey. I'm not really a big sports fan, though, and I never watch it on TV (though hubby watches NASCAR every week ;)

Okay, first of all, I think I have made it plenty loud and clear that I am a HUGE Braves fan. Yes, we'll be at Saturday's game. Go Braves - beat Phillies!!!

But yes, I have been to a Falcons in the last couple of years. I really loved it, but it was so much louder than I ever imagined. It's enclosed, so the sound is big. Big. Doug & I spend $40 on two steak sandwiches and 2 beers. I'm not kidding. But it was fun.

I gotta check out this ticket place.

Have never been to a pro football game because growing up in Pittsburgh, unless you had season tickets or knew someone with them, you don't get them. There's like a 25+ year waiting list for tickets. I love pro football and watch it on TV.
