Can we talk about Michelle Obama's eyebrows?

I was watching TV last week and an ad came on. It was Michelle Obama. Talking about something. That something? I had no idea. I couldn't. Because I was rather distracted. By her eyebrows.

What had she done? They are in the middle of her forehead. I had to pause the tv and try to figure it out. Did she have a lift? A little botox? An accident - so she had to draw them on? Were these fore.head.brows on purpose?

I finally figured out that she was appealing for donations to the red cross. And it was rather catty of me to only see the eyebrows rather than the need in Haiti.

But those forehead feathers were rather distracting. Watch for yourself.

I suppose I should be rather sympathetic. It appears that I overplucked as well. When I accidentally deleted my blog design. And I had to pencil in what you see here. I think that Michelle and I both need a do-over.

So...what about you? What do you think of Michelle's brows? Do you shape yours? Have you ever overplucked your blog?

OMG I was just watching this commercial when I clicked on Google Reader. And I was remarking to my husband that the first time I saw the commercial I wondered who this woman was. She looks like she's ready for a yearbook photo. Or sorority photo. Sadly it took me a minute. Then I realized it. And felt stupid.

I do wax my brows. But they still look natural. Too natural. But every time I go to the nice ladies in the salon they remark "Oh, been long time since you come here"

Sigh.

Yeah, her brows are a little high, aren't they? Yeesh.

I've had my brows waxed a few times, but I mostly pluck them. When I remember to do so.

I've seen that commercial a bunch of times and you're right, she looks odd. Not natural, that's for sure.

I get my eyebrows threaded once a month or so and I pluck in between. I never did anything to them, though, until I was 28 or so. I was crazy brow lady until them. And not a single friend said anything. Sheesh.

Well you have cleared it up for me. I too saw that ad a few days ago and I was watching it and trying to figure out what she had done and why she looked so different. haha. I too have over plucked on occasion- both my brows and my blog, lol. I refuse to use pencil though...just too fake looking- my brows not my blog.

"Overplucked your blog." LOLL!!! You are too funny! I'm a brow waxer and trust my sister implicitly with the shaping of my brows.

That was my first thought seeing this ad too!
My husband said it looks like she has dead eyes.
Either way, she just looks weird...

Overplucked your blog design? *snort* That's why I'm way too chicken to even change mine ;)

And yes, her eyebrows are a little distracting...

Bwa ha haaaaaaaaaaa

I'm pretty sure her forehead has gotten half a foot taller as well as the massively overplucked brows. You can tell she was surprised by having to do this commercial.

I thought she looked a little severe.

You said "forehead feathers." And that, my friend, is just brilliant.

Of course I have my brows waxed once a month. Else I'd have wooly worms above my eyes, and that's probably worse than forehead feathers.

I've always thought her eyes make her look a little evil. With the heightened eyebrows she might as well put on a black cloak and hold a pitchfork.....:)

I've have been obsessed with getting my blog to look cute. I'm in a holding pattern right now until I can figure something else out. I am just never satisfied. And, I'm too cheap to pay someone else to do it for me.....:) Stop by and tell me what you think.

I knew she looked off but I couldn't look at her face long enough to figure it out. Eureka! It's the eyebrows. So totally weird. You would think her "people" would explain that eye brows are normally a little closer to the eye.

Personally,I think they look fine. But, I don't want to watch another red cross commercial. And, I'm just going by the pic.

Sorry about your blog design. I am scared to mess with mine and that is why mine is still just a regular blog. LOL I am not all pimped out...one day when I have extra bucks maybe I will pay to have someone to pimp it but for right now...It is what it is.

Eyebrows...HMMM I like to have mine waxed but do not have funds for such luxuries...so I pluck. I have screwed them up a time or two but yeah those look a little wrong.

Kat, you are too funny, I literally just saw an ad wondering the same thing (can't see the one you posted) and I'm sure it's the same one. LOL I don't know what it was for either because those high brows distracted me too! It seems she got the old ones taken off and new ones painted on higher. I know she looked angry before, but wasn't there a more subtle way to improve without looking shocked all the time?? Very odd.

From the bottom of my heart, my only concern was trying to see what I could do to help the people of Haiti. The First Lady eyebrows didn't concern me one bit.

Anon, I've been looking what to do for Haiti without Michele saying anything!

I love your blog design. I had just noticed the change before I read this entry.
The science department head at Caroline's school has no eyebrows. When he is asked why, he answers, "Well, I was in college once." We've decided that could be an answer for a lot of things...

Her eyebrows are a little overplucked, but I think her eye makeup only adds to it. She's got the light sheen going so that it makes the upper part of her eyes look that much bigger.

And now I feel like I need to revisit my eyebrows. :)

Never really looked at or listened to her until I saw THIS exact commercial, which prompted me to google search "Michelle Obama's Eyebrows" and well, here I am. She really should do something about them. They just look ba-a-a-a-a-a-ad.

I had a hard time listening to her appeal I was so focused on thos eyebrows in the middle of her forward and those too shiny lips, looked awful.
