Wordless Wednesday: Belize Jungle

My laptop died last night. With all my pictures. Including all my beach pictures that haven't been backed up yet. Let us have a moment of silence. And a prayer that our personal computer geek can get into the brain of my dead hard drive.

In the meantime...we'll go back a few months to our journey to Belize. Because these pictures are on my other computer. And gaze at the wonders that are the jungle. And for some, you can be rather thankful that you never saw these in person.So...what about you? Do you like to travel? Have you been anywhere exotic or remote? If money was not a factor...would you travel off the beaten path? Where would you want to go?

Beautiful pictures!! Sorry to hear about your laptop though.

If money were no object, I would really love to rent a villa on the Italian Mediterranean coast and just relax for a month or so. Of course if I spend good money to travel, I usually like to DO as much as is humanly possible. I don't relax very easily. I always need a vacation after my "vacation." I'd also love to do an English/Scottish castle tour someday.

If money was no object...travel would be happening constantly. And I'd love to go to Ireland, London, Paris, Rome...

But, if we are talking off the beaten path: India - I'd love to see the pilgrims "bathing" in the Ganges; I want to see the casbah in Morocco; I want to see Machu Pichu - but I'd need a helicopter lift!; and I've always wanted to go on an African safari...

I love to travel! We've been to Belize, Honduras, Jamaica (both Ochos Rios and Montego Bay), Bahamas, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Key West, Puerto Vallerta, Niagra Falls, Cozumel, Grand Caymans, etc.

Most of these places we've seen via cruise ships (we were doing 2 a year until Stephen started high school) but we did an all inclusive to Puerto Vallerta and we rode our motorcycles to Key West...for me it doesn't matter how you get there as long as you GO!

If money was no object AND Stephen wouldn't miss school (or we had someone he could stay with) then I would love to visit Germany, Italy, & London.

I love the bats! YES, we love to travel, but have no money. If it were no object, we would go everywhere. You name it, off the beaten path more so than the popular places, but I would want to see those too. Asia, Africa, Europe, South America, Central America, even back woods US and Canada. Iceland, NZ, Aus, and the Poles. I want to see it all....

Wow! Belize!!! Cooool! Love to travel...but I'm good for only about 12 days (and to be honest, I'm ready to be home after a week!) We've been to Scotland 4 times and love love love it! Would like to travel to Italy in future! Not knowing the language scares me a little but not enough to keep me from going! Sorry about your laptop! What a bummer! I'm sure your brilliant hubby will save the day :) How did the Pampered Chef party turn out?

Oh I really really love to travel. I want to go to Australia, Alaska, just about any tropical island, Greece, and anywhere on a boat...except that creepy looking place you just showed me with the alligators. Do tell me that you used a really long lens to capture those shots. Egads.

And I am feeling your pain with the computer issue. That is making me sick for you. Aaaaahh!

p.s. A hint just a tad too late: I always upload my vacation pictures (and others) to another site like Costco just as a backup before the other backup. I just set it for upload while I sleep or go out somewhere. You know, just in case.

What gorgeous pictures!! I've been to Indonesia, Singapore, Japan and Thailand.

so sorry to hear about your computer! Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be able to fix it...
The pictures are gorgeous!!
If I didn't have the monetary or time constraints, I would love to go back to Europe with my husband, do a trip to France with my Mom, and visiting Tressa in Norway.

Gorgeous pics, as always!

If I were to travel off the beaten path.. I just like to go hiking. Does that count? The Grand Canyon & Volcanoes national Park in Hawaii are my faves so far.

Cool pictures!!

Hope your computer guru manages to salvage you lap top or at leas the contents of the hard drive!!

I spent some time in the Australian outback, that was pretty cool.

I'd love to go to India and explore the places in M.M. Kaye's books. I'd love to go to Nepal. Ride the Orient Express and the Trans-Siberian one. I'd also like to go to Scotland and Europe and visit my G-Uncle's grave in Italy. I'd also like to go to Hong Kong and then visit The Great Wall of China. I'd also love to wander through a Bazaar in Instanbul ...

BTW, I interviewed my daughter and granddaughter, using your questions. They're on my blog. Trooper Thorn has said that he's going to use the questions to interview his son and daughter. You started something, Kat :-)

Ack! I hope your geek can fix your computer and get your pix back for you!

Let's see. As far as "exotic" places go, I've been to Jamaica (couldn't *pay* me to go back!), Grand Cayman, St. Croix, and St. Martin. Not as exotic, but just as beautiful, was British Columbia. I've also been to all of the lower 48 at one time or another.

If money were no object, I would go all over Europe, India, Australia, and Africa. I would absolutely *love* to spend about 6 months out of the year living abroad.

That is gorgeous!

I'd like to travel anywhere outside of the U.S. I've never been outside of the U.S. (the countries in Epcot don't count, right?).

Wow that beetle thing looks... interesting. Africa definitely. The wildlife there is awesome. But I'd be inside the Jeep.
A friend that went to college with me had missionary parents so they lived there. She has great stories about the school safari field trips. They once got too close to a baby elephant an got charged by the mother. That is a story I'll never forget.

Ooohhh..Belize, It's on my list of to do's. I do enjoy to travel, but leaving my kiddos behind is always a bit traumatic for me. (My mom is a saint to watch them for us when we go places. Although the girls are starting to get old enough I'd like to bring them with me.) I've been to Amsterdam, Singapore, Mexico, and Hawaii (it counts!) and would love to go back to Hawaii and Singapore someday. My hubby was in India last year and HATED it. It was heart wrenching for him to see the level of poverty. From the pictures he sent, I don't know that I'd go there for "fun". However, an African safari sounds nice and I've always wanted to go to Australia. We're talking about France this coming October, but we'll see if it pans out.

That just makes me SICK thinking about your computer! I am going to register with carbonite TODAY! (online computer storage that keeps all your stuff for you in case of a crash!).

I hope and even pray you can get everything restored!!!

I have traveled all over western Europe. I'd love to go back--especially during the Christmas season--and spend a few weeks in England. I like that they speak my language, at least kind of :). I've also been to Venezuela, but wouldn't go back without someone who spoke Spanish. I'd also love to get back to the east coast one day. Bloggy friends from over there sure have pretty pictures :)!

ooh, Belize, very cool!

I've been all over the Caribbean and Europe. I love to travel.

I'm so sorry about your laptop. That's not good!

Internet connection is spotty here on our trip but I'm trying to check in periodically...

Great pics! And so sorry about your laptop. I feel your pain.

I LOVE to travel! The farthest off the beaten path would have to be a road trip to ruins while I was in Cancun in the 9th grade. I remember a long ride on a VERY scary run down school bus. Yikes.

If money were no object, I would be far braver about traveling to many exotic places, especially in Asia and Africa. The one place I want to go to sooner than later is a toss up between Australia and Scotland.

Love to travel...which you know, as I'm doing it RIGHT NOW!

But foreign lands? Only been to England, Ireland, and lots of places in the Caribbean. I wanna go to Fiji...and Greece...and Italy...and France. And I WILL one day.

Love the pictures. Hope your laptop gets well soon.

I want to go to Belize! Well, except for the bugs. I could do without the bugs. :-) If money was no object I'd love to travel. I've always wanted to go to Australia... but I'm sure I'd love anywhere! I just want to go somewhere! :-)

Those are some great pictures. In my case when it comes to travel it's not about the money but the fact that I hate to fly and I have a huge phobia about it. The last place I went was Costa Rica 10 years ago and I haven't had a vacation since.

If flying didn't freak me out so much I would go absolutely anywhere just to experience the freedom of being somewhere else and enjoying another part of the world.

I'll live vicariously through you and your travels.:-)

I used to love to travel. Now I enjoy being home. I've been to 52 countries, some quite exotic and I've had quite the adventures. I've been on safari in South Africa, snowmobiling on glaciers in Iceland, hiking waterfalls in New Zealand, climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge in Australia, seen the ancient ruins of Pompeii, wandered the rainforest of the Brazilian amazon, and wandered on holy ground in temples in Japan.

We were in Belize as one of the ports on our cruise. The port was rather scary, with armed guards standing around, and the water near the pier filthy and stinky. We shopped a bit, then got right back on the boat. I hear they have great snorkeling...

I loved Mexico, not so much the Bahamas.

I would love to go to Scotland and take an Outlander tour. Would that not be incredible? Especially if you got to meet Jamie Fraser. I know, I know, he's a fictional character. But ever since reading Outlander, he lives in my heart, right along side of Edward Cullen.

BTW, I love your playlist. I thought I was one of the only bloggers left with music playing. Sting, Dave Matthews...oh, my, I'm lovin' it!

Wow - those are beautiful.

I really haven't been anywhere exotic... and this may sound provincal of me, but i REALLY want to see more (all) of the US before I venture out further....

I would love to see Italy, Africa, Paris.... but I would also like to travel the other 49 states with my hubby and girls. I think that would be an awesome learning adventure.
