Weekend Winners: In the Pink

Wow! THE event really started with a bang. Over 110 single entries. So many of you blogged about it. Ya'll are following me. And I LOVE those of you that are not just following me in name only. But are actually here reading, too. Which is good. People tend to stare and point when I talk to myself.

So you want to know who the Wicked winner is? I know you do. But...you'll have to wait one more day. The winner will be posted tomorrow night. Because it will take me a few more hours to write all these names on paper. And take some pain meds for my carpal tunnel. Anyone know a way to use random number generator when you can earn extra entries?

Have I ever told you that one of my favorite colors is pink? I don't think that I would put myself in the "it's my signature color" range. But I do like me some pink. And I like non-sequiturs. And for some reason my roses are blooming. Now. In November. Perhaps they are as confused as my kitties. They really are a lovely shade of pink.Which reminds me. How about we get to this weeks give away? A few weeks ago I first heard about Save the Tatas. I have taken pictures with their shirts. Had conversations with Katie about what exactly a tata is. And then I was compelled to show my support. I got a jibbet for my crocs. I got a totebag. And a magnet for my car.And now I have three car magnets to give away to YOU! So that you too can show your support. And support research for a cure.

But a car magnet. Who is asking themselves "is that all?"

How about we also cook for the cure? You can also win the Better Homes and Gardens LIMITED edition pink plaid cook book with over 1400 recipes - and a special section of "pink" recipes from people like Paula Deen and Nathalie Dupree.

Oh, but wait. There's more! You can also win some cooking for the cure tools. Like a pink spatula.
And some pink measuring cups and spoons.(To summarize: One winner will get a cookbook, spatula, measuring cups, and car magnet. Two other winners will get car magnets)
Worth playing for? (Is anyone other than me still watching Survivor?)
This is what you need to do:
1. Leave me some comment love. Tell me if you have any bumper stickers on your car. Or bumper magnets. What are you passionate enough about to advertise to the world? Are there any bumper stickers that you have seen that struck you as especially funny?
2. For another entry, follow me. Please. Come on. I need to break the 100 mark. If you are already a follower, you get another entry.
3. And for yet another entry into the pot. And another contributor towards my arthritic hands. Tell the world about the contest by posting about it on your blog.
4. Contest ends next Friday. Winner will be randomly chosen and then announced next Saturday - along with the third prize - as we head towards 10 weeks of weekend winners.

No stickers on my car. The funniest I've ever seen might not be that funny to you or your readers, but I'll tell the story. My bff from high school (Donna Jane Sampler) married a guy with a great band called the Drive By Truckers. Well, my dad has always *looooooved* Donna Jane, and he quickly loved her (now ex) husband when he met him. So much that he put their bumper sticker on his minivan. It said, "mama ran off with the Drive By Truckers." Might be one of those "had to be there" things, though...

I'm already a follower. Yay!

Going to post about the contest right now. Whoopeeeeeee! Another entry for meeeeeee!

P.S. I'm gonna share this on Facebook, too... :)

I don't have any bumper stickers or magnets. But I would SO put a ta-tas one on my car!

Hey Kat.

If you go to Random.org, look at the bottom left of the page under "fun & free' and you'll see "list randomizer". Click on it. There you can list each name on a separate line. Once you've listed all of the names, click on randomize. You could probably copy and paste.

I'll be back to answer the questions for next week's prize. Which is GREAT by the way. I'm excited about it. I LOVE cookbooks and pink kitchen utensils!!!

Lovin' some pink! And I love my big tatas too, I need to get that shirt, LOL!

I don't have a single magnet on my car. My poor car, she's lonely, and needs some magnet love!

(I already follow you, and your button is up!)

We inherited a yellow ribbon on the car when we bought it, but some kid ran off with that magnet. Then when we were hiking the kids found a Wa State Dept Of Natural Resources or Fish and Wild life, or something like that and smacked it onto the mom-mobile. It's on the fridge now. I had a zoo pass sticker- once.
I would love a tata magnet- but I would send it to my sister who is all too happy to have most of her tatas.
And I love pink, too. And pink's aggressive big sister, Red.

Gina said...

My favorite bumper snicker is the one that says, "Wear your seatbelt. It makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car."

MsTypo said...

I'm totally watching Survivor! We get it on Fridays but i'm loving this season. I hope Sugar makes it!! Have you been reading Jeff Probst's blog on EW? Too funny!

I need a "i love my big tata's shirt." I could only wear it at home but it is so me! Where did your friends get those?!

Finally - no bumper anything. :( Stickers detract from the resale value of a vehicle so Hubby won't let them near the car. While we don't have car magnets we do have zillions on our fridge!! :)

No stickers on my car (it's a lease and I think they may get mad, plus no one would understand them anyway, Germans aren't known for humor)
My favorite I've seen is 'My kid just beat up your honor student'.
It's wrong but dang it's funny!

I will be sure to post your contest tomorrow (I already have your button on my blog like a good blogger should ;) since I already made a post today.

Loving the PINK stuff. I have a bunch of pink Celebrate Courage bracelets (10 extra) I can offer up if you'd like to include them in the gift prize. Let me know and I can send them ASAP.

Love these! And will so be regifting them to my friend/fellow teacher who just had a lumpectomy yesterday. All is well, now she starts radiation. Stage 0 = good. Check your tatas!
As for bumper stickers, no, I'm too anal with my car for that. I did see a car the other day at Target COVERED in Obama stickers, and stopped to read. Several anti-Palin stickers as well. I couldn't help thinking, that was a lovely way to campaign, but what do you do now that it's over since they were stickers and not magnets?
Great giveaway!

I am obsessed with all things breast cancer awareness pink - not ALL pink, but only if it supports the cause.

On my car I have one magnet from my daughter's soccer season, which I can't move now because it damaged the paint; some miscellaneous I support the troopers ones that were inherited, and a NY Taxi sticker that I picked up on our trip in February.

Loralynn said...

I don't have any stickers on my car...I just got a new Mustang...nuff said!! lol The funniest one I ever saw was "My favorite team is Michigand State and whoever is playing Michigan." Can you tell we're state fans?? I am a follower of your blog and I have a button for your giveaways in my sidebar.

By the way, that rose is absolutely gorgeous! We had a hard freeze here, then a couple of nice days and my geraniums started to bloom again! Poor confused things!

Becky W said...

This is just great! The only things I have on my car are two soccer balls on the back windshield with my kids's names and my Alabama lisence plate on the front.

jennifersusan said...

I don't have any stickers or magnets on the car, but I have in the past- a peace frog. I love all the pink! Now that I have a girl to buddy around with in the house I'm allowed to have lots of pink. Your roses are blooming too! I've seen lots blooming here too, this week--way weird especially since it's calling for snow. Oh, I need to move to where it's warmer all the time.

Kori said...

I don't have any sticker or magnets on my car. But I am an advocate for the CF Foundation. Not enough people know about hte disease that kills so many people every year. The more people that know and donate the closer we are to a cure. Make CF stand for Cure Found!

Ok moving on. I am already a follower. (cough cough) stalker.

Ok now I'm off to post about it. Cause I really, really want thgat cookbook. Especially with the holidays coming on fast I need some new ideas. I want to be a suzy homemaker too. Can I have an apron? lol

I'm a follower, of course!

Love the pink giveaway this week. YOU ROCK!!

I have a SAVE THE TA-TAs magnet sicker for my car, and I have a Texas Word Tangle decal, but that's it on the back of my car. :o)

no stickers or magnets.
we used to have grateful dead stickers on our truck...but would always get stopped and questioned as we went through border patrol in and out of canada to visit friends.
but pink. ah. i have a soft spot for pink things. and the garbage disposal chewed up several of my measuring spoons. so i really need them!

You're making me WAIT longer to see my name in big bold letters across your blog??! :) (By the way I am sending all the positive mojo/vodoo/ESP powers I can summon, for my piece of paper to jump into you hand later to today.) And as far as all the cute pink stuff coming up, count me in. That spatula is SO pretty! And no bumpers stickers on my car, but I do have a window full of "Say no to drugs" stickers that my baby stuck on while no one was looking and now they won't come off. Thank you Officer from the 4th of July parade. One sticker would have been plenty, but thank you for the entire sheet you gave my 2 year old. Anyway, I love Kat's 10 weeks of winners. This is so fun!

Lisa said...

I used to have car magnets. They were one that looked like the flag with a support the troops logo and another was the pink ribbon. Someone stole them right off my car. JERKS.

I added your button to my sidebar under swaps, contests, and more :)

Katrina said...

none on my car! but this one is worth putting on! =)

Brandy said...

No bumper stickers or magnets on my Bravada but I have two window clings for Harley Davidson and Avenged Sevenfold.

I have a Marching Band magnet on the Hyundai.

Jill said...

Wow, that's a heck of a lot of entries... now make sure you pick my name y'hear?

I have no bumper stickers that I've added, though the piece of junk car that we bought prior to our arrival in India is covered in stickers from the previous owner who had the car in Africa... all over the windshield and the back seat passengers windows.

Sadly, I just haven't had the energy to scrape them off... so I look at them every day and ask myself why I don't do it.

gina said...

I had a pink ribbon magnet on my minivan for October. Last summer it was a black dog one from our trip last year to Martha's vineyard. Before that it was a magnet form each of my girl's schools. I tend to change it up- because I like change and I don't want any permanent wear on my vehicle. I love this saying though- it's great for getting attention- which is great for the cause! :)

I have seen a lot of funny bumper stickers but, of course, I can't think of any right now:-(

Sorry:-( I am already a follower so I can't help with the number. I can't believe that you are approaching 100!! That is awesome!!

I love this song!

The stickers on my car say "MAINE" and "Maine: The Way Life Should Be". The funniest bumper sticker I've seen said something to the effect of "The last person who listened to a talking bush, wandered the desert for 40 years."

And I'm still following you.

Mama Dawg said...

I actually do have a bumper sticker on my car.

It says "Jimmy Buffet for President: Put a REAL Pirate in office"

He was my first choice for pres but for some reason he wansn't on the ballot.

Oh, well.

Julie said...

They don't put bumper stickers on cars over here... so we don't have any...but we did put a fish on it... I have seen those on others...
It would be fun to get some from the States and put them on the car!

The funniest bumper sticker I have seen, and that I can remember right now, said "Dyslexic Satan Worshipers Sell Their Souls To SANTA!!" I almost peed my pants!

Have become a follower for you.

BTW, were you in my fave store Torrid in those pics with the tees?

Swirl Girl said...

I have no stickers on my car-
when I was a kid (okay I was in college) I had a 4th generation Datsun B210 named Mario.

Mario's bumper was covered in stickers - My favorite was
'Arms are for embracing' That was the early 80's...nuclear proliferation was a big issue.

Carrie said...

I'm not much of a bumper sticker lover. I don't like putting something on my car that might leave a mark, so the magnet will be perfect!

One of the funniest bumper stickers I've ever seen said, "I'm only speeding because I really have to poop." Kills me everytime I think about it!

Lula! said...

You know I got me a big ol' "G" up on the MomVan. Because I love my Georgia Bulldogs with a passion that puts Romeo & Juliet to shame.

Yeah.

Pink IS my signature color. I love, love, love pink. I also love this song, as well as the movie. I have it memorized. Go on...as me anything...I will quote John Hughes' finest for you.

John Deere Mom said...

Loving these! I have the cookbook so I will regift it if I am the big winner. Love the pink kitchen utensils. No stickers on my new car but am sure I could find someone to share them with!

amy said...

Ahh, breast cancer awareness...a topic close to my heart. Which would be punny, if you didn't know my sister's fight with breast cancer!
No bumper stickers here, unless you count the one in my son's room that says "can't sleep, clowns will eat me"
I used to have one in support of my boyfriend's band "Just Puppets". That's all it said on the sticker- Just Puppets. It moved from car to car, because the band broke up but I really liked the sticker. And the boyfriend. And then I married him, and the sticker got too old and we got a different car. =)

That wasn't a boring story AT ALL!

amy said...

ps- assuming you haven't given me a NEGATIVE number of entries for that last story, I feel I should also mention that I had a breast cancer ribbon on my last car, too. Just in keeping with the theme...

No stickers on the car but you know I love ya despite not stopping by in while.

Good Afternoon from College Park, GA.
I found you on Blog around the World. I wanted to find some bloggers in Georgia.
I really like your blog and hope I'm not too late for your contest. As a 6 year breast cancer survivor I would love to have some of these items. That and it would be so cool to win something. Never have in my 61 years. But I am blessed with a wonderful hubby of 35 years, two gorgeous grown daughters, and 8 FANTASTIC grandkids.
I'll be back to visit.
God Bless You,
Miss Lila

Dave and I watched Survivor last Thursday, it was the first time I've watched it since I don;t know when, but it was good, and I have my favorite to win picked out already. I am more of an Amazing Race girl though.

Okay, did I just read that you and Lizzy got together again? Do you not understand how jealous I am? I totally want to meet the two of you (and a few others!!).
Hopefully you are working on planning that bloggy cruise summit whilst you are together, right?

I'll post about your weekend giveaway tonight.

I would love to have a Save the Ta-tas magnet, though. I've got a Harley Davidson sticker (hubby rides) and an Island Girl sticker (I'm Hawaiian). I also have the remnants of a red Hibiscus (my fav flower) but I should really just peel whats left off.

I'm already following you. But I'd do it again if I could!

And I added your button to my sidebar. Anything for your arthritic hands :)

Thanks for the giveaway!

I have 3 stickers currently, but I cheat by taping them onto the inside of my back window. I like to be able to change them at a whim ;)

One has a pix of Bush that says "Some things were never meant to be recycled", on says "My Karma Ran Over Your Dogma", and the third says "Real Sci-Fi Fans Wear Browncoats" (Browncoats is the name of Firefly fans. Watch it yet???)

I love this giveaway, BTW. We had a dear family memeber pass from breast cancer a couple of years ago.

Oh boy, do I have magnets & bumper stickers on my car! I'm like a college student with an old '82 Ford Tempo..

I've got my 'F the President'(as opposed to W the president)sticker, which I'm now planning on taking off, both LSU & Auburn stickers, 'Life is good', 'Veterans for Obama', DFA 'Stop the War', my Mazda 'zoom zoom' decal, my business decal, business car magnets, a big Auburn magnet (I may have to sneak that off the car since they're sucking so hard).. I think that's all of 'em, but I'm too lazy to go double check.
