All I want for Christmas

The girls were rather difficult to shop for this year. Because their lists were composed of impossibilities.

Things like dogs. Winning lottery tickets. Baby sisters. So not gonna happen.

With list like this. One would think that really. And truly. They are lacking for nothing. They have what they need. And they also have what they might want.

When I took them for their annual visit with Santa. Madalyn asked for a dsi. Katie asked for World Peace.

I hope that Santa brings them an instruction manual on manners. Or living a whine free life. Or maybe one on peaceful siblings. Yep. We are all looking for impossibilities.

So...what about you? What is Santa bringing you and yours?

I see you, too, visit the real Santa! =) LOVE him, been going for 13 Christmases now.

Lily asked him for: a toy hippo, an Elmo toothbrush that lights up (by the way, these don't exist, which is a bummer, because her list is so small!), and a cranberry. Yep, a cranberry. She really likes craisins.

xbox 360.
legos.
a bike.

we got the xbox. we already have a billion legos, no more. and we have more bikes than we know what to do with.

isabel's big gift? taylor swift concert tickets, which sold out in 6 min flat.

gabe? a miniature dollhouse that you can build (i think he was interested in the construction of it more than anything)

me? a Keurig and my fave perfume, Tresor.

we are so blessed! happy, healthy, albeit no house peace, much less world peace. we'll keep working on it.

Merry Christmas, Kat!

Well I sure hope you found something for them. And I cracked right up at them sitting on Santa's lap in crocs and flip flops!

Unfortunately, Santa only found out last night about Mister Man's desperate wish for a "Trick Track" (apparently some Hot Wheels thing?), so that wasn't in the sleigh. He did bring LOTS of books though, which seemed to make them happy, and plenty of dollhouse accessories and Disney princess figurine dolls things and even some Bakugan. Just not the Crayola Crayon Maker... though I bet I can find one at Target tomorrow night if I look hard enough!

Hopefully a day without bickering. I can.not. stand the constant fighting between these kids! It's maddening I tell you. Maddening. We are the meaning behind the song from SNL "Dysfunctional Family Christmas". (To the tune of Carol of the Bells) ♫Leave me alone, please go away, I'm doing fine, just get away.....♫

What is a DSI?

I really, really wanted an iPhone for Christmas, but I don't know if I got one yet.

That's all I wanted.

And I want my boys to come back home. :o)

My girls were elated that Santa brought them baby dolls and accessories! The one thing that I really wanted, I didn't get this year. (which isn't really different from any other year) Now I'm looking for a really good deal on Pioneer Woman's cookbook online.

I think that once the kid gets taller than Santa...it's time to quit visiting. ;)

LOL @ babysisters being on the list! Thankfully my kids haven't thought of that one yet!!

How funny is that!

If that had been my sister and I, I would have been the one asking for a dsi (if they'd even invented such a thing when I was a kid!) and she would have asked for world peace. Cause she's sweet like that. And I'm? Not. Evidently.

Hope y'all had a great Christmas!!

Santa was good to us this year.

Did Madalyn get her DSi?

I'm reading a whole lot of drivel, per your recommendation! And I saw a woman who actually took a nude photo of herself and posted it! Yuck! Now why would any 50+ woman think that anyone on earth would want to see a full frontal?

Thank you again for your help with my blog... btw, I need more help! HELP!!!

Glad to see our next bookclub book on your list.

talk to you soon.

We had such a great Christmas season together. My biggest wish was family time. I received that in abundance. I did, however, get a surprise from Doug...a bass guitar. I am giddy with excitement. We are going to get lessons together. (He already plays the guitar.)
