Hair Today...

Michael's hair has always been a point of contention. From what appeared to be heading to mullet land when we first met. To the horrid Super Cuts hair dos. Cut really short. Because it was cheap. And he could wait a long time between appointments walk in visits.

He has always answered my complaints. Mouth agape stares. Sighs of exasperation. With "I'll just get it all shaved off." Which has left me stammering and snorting.

So, when he had surgery in April, and the neurosurgeon did this to him.

Well...shaving it off was the only option. And notice. We did not go to Super Cuts. Because I was driving. And could put my foot down. And say no!

And I must admit. I was surprise. And shocked. He looks really good with a shaved head. And ya'll seemed to really think so based on the comments to this post.

And to continue the sexy appeal...I got him to stop shaving. I love the stubble. He usually does not shave over Christmas. But this time he had longer than a week to work on that facial hair. He had a month. And he got itchy. And cranky. The day before he went back to work. He shaved it off. But. Just for fun. We thought we'd see what he looks like with a goatee. Kinda sinister methinks.

Because he really didn't have enough hair to see what mutton chops might look like.

So...what about you? Do like facial hair? Does your husband fall inline with this preference? Do you have haircut challenges?

I definitely love stubble/a full beard, and my hubby has some pretty fun curly hair :) Unfortunately (for me), the military kinda frowns on looking too scruffy... ;)

My husband has really thick, really curly hair. He's tried the clean-shaven look, but it's so curly that it's better for his skin if he lets it grow out. He has kind of a permanent 5 o'clock shadow as a result :-) As far as haircut challenges, I used to cut his hair when we were first married... till I accidentally gave him a bald spot! He only occasionally lets me do it now, not that I blame him!

Your husband is a definite cutey!! :p

I cut Hubby's hair with a pair of clippers we bought a few years ago. He's going bald *sob* so i just need to trim it super short.

Hubby has a goat(ee) but no beard or 'stash or anything. I don't mind stubble - days 2 through 4 are lovely. After that... It's time to shave! :p

Stan has had a mustache almost all of our married life. Actually his upper lip looks wierd without it. Now he sports one of those little patches of hair right under his lower lip. I know it has a name, but I am clueless as to what it is called. In Alaska he went for the full bearded look, combine that with '70s hair and he looked like a furry monster. Now much older and much less hair, he just keeps the mustache and the patch.
Must say Michael looks very cute. Especially all healed up and ready to go again.

I think he looks awesome!

Hubby has a moustache. Hubby has ALWAYS had a moustache. Once, Hubby shaved his moustache without my knowledge. Hubby has no upper lip. Hubby is not allowed to shave his moustache. ever again.

I love all of it and like it when he changes his look. It's always a little hard to get used to at first, but it's kind of like getting to know his face all over again!

I think he looks fab-o with the shaved head!

I'd say go without the goatee. I don't like those at all.

When I first met Greg, he had shaved his head and had a goatee. I told him that he has a good looking face and not to hide it behind a goatee.

Greg let his hair grow in and it came back fuzzy, soft and fuzzy - I love it. He keeps it that length now. :-)

Michael looks TERRIFIC with the closely-cropped 'do!!! And I like the stubble, but definitely NOT the goatee. He's got to be excited about returning to work. A little time off is nice, but a lotta time off grows old quickly.

My hubby has had all manner of facial hair and he wears them all (stubble, goatee) well. But I must admit, from a kissing perspective, I far prefer smooth shaven. :-)

I have never seen my husband without facial hair. More specifically a mustache/goatee. Never, ever.

It is a big NO for me and facial hair!!

I love facial fair, but only if it's well-maintained.

As in, no whiskers hanging over the lip catching crumbs...

Joe has a goatee. I'm partial to them. I think your hubby looks great with one...did he shave it off altogether?

(And I love the hair, too!)

I don't mind facial hair. Shane has had a full beard for quite awhile now... he's done just a 'stache and just a goatee, before. It's been a loooooong time since he's been clean-shaven. He didn't have any facial hair for our wedding... and the girls just laugh and laugh at pictures, saying how weird he looks without his beard.

Each time he goes for a haircut, it seems to get shorter and shorter. He's talked about getting it all shaved, but thinks he needs to lose a few pounds before he can pull that look off!

Little bit of stubble can be sexy, but only until the point where it starts to be prickly like needles.

Funny thing is, after radiation, my Sweetie's facial hair has the funniest growing pattern. It grows in like a Harley biker dude, with triangle like sideburns and the funniest lines!! ha ha...maybe I will have to do a post on it.

We both don't like facial hair, so no arguments there. And we see the same hair dresser- or I do his at home.

Now Michael can tell people, "It's not a too-mah."

I love a goatee on a man. Paul doesn't shave during hunting season and I love it when he shaves it into a goatee.

I'm a no hair person. I can't stand it. It itches and scrapes and ... gets funky smelling (in my head). I have sensitive skin. And apparently I'm a rarity :)

He looks dang hot.

Kinda like Chris Martin...you know, Coldplay's frontman...and Gwyneth's hubby.

Linda said...

I see the Coldplay resemblance ... but I was actually gonna say he looks Jason Statham ... yah? I can't believe Lula didn't pick up on that! I think Michael looks awesome with the short shave hair and facial growth. It looks like his incision is healing well too. Can I send him a cyber hug? In a totally friendly thank-God-you're-ok kinda way?

I like the short hair... and the scruff. He looks good. :)

Oooh La La! Sexy man! I am liking the shaved head look!

I am a fan of facial hair...for a while. My hubby starts to look a little thuggish with a goatee though. LOL

no facial har for this one! I do prefer my hair on the head, chest, arms and legs....hair on the head is my favorite, and lots of it. Call me a bald-a phobe!

The reason Doug has a (porn like) beard right now is because I always loved his stubble. Something about that stubble. I didn't ask him to grow the (porn like) beard, he did it because he knew I like facial hair. Kinda sweet, yes?

I can't believe Michael opted to shed the beard. Maybe next vacation time.

I don't like just a moustache on a man, but I love, love, love a goatee (and a an occasional beard). Hubby had a bald face for the first half of our relationship (poor thing couldn't grow enough to make, well, anything) - but after he hit his early 30's, he could finally fill in a goatee.

As for the hair, I give him buzz cuts (all those years as a hairdresser to save $$ on a $10 cut ;) He once let me do a mohawk on him, which was strangely hot (and I still beg him to let me do it again) - but he made me shave it off the next day.

Most of my guys have cowlicks, some high foreheads. I finally told the oldest, "Stop covering it up!" If you try to hide it, you look like an idiot like the guy with the combover. However, just show it off, be proud of what you got - it suprisingly looks great! Fun blog!

Psst. Michael. The short hair looks great on ya.

I love scruff. Some men look good in it and some look awful. Mine looks better with a bit of a beard and a mustache. Why? Because he has a babyface and I simply cannot have him looking younger than me (even though he technically is).

I think Michael looks so good with that military crop going on! And yes, I like a TINY bit of facial hair. Just a shadow, no long scruffies, but that shadow that emmits "bad boy" vibes....mmmmmm...

You'd better monitor that facial hair sugar he just might mine himself a wig farm!

Chuck shaved his head the day we got back from our honeymoon and has been shaving it sense - 16 years now. I prefer a little more hair but it's his head and he does what he wants with it, just like he prefers VERY long hair on women but I'm the one that has to take care of it and I don't want long hair now. LOL He's had every kind of facial hair imaginable...moustache only, full beard and stache, goatee and stache, goatee only. LOL Right now just the moustache because that's all he's allowed to keep for work.

I made my hubby grow the chin thingie but he said it was itchy and took it off. I loved it!!

Hi Kat hope you are doing well. I don't like facial hair at all, and protest every time hubby tries growing a mess on his face. Your Hubby looks great!
