Put a Little Seratonin in Me

I am not a patient person. I really don't like riddles and puzzles. I just want to know the answer. I don't want to think about it. Ponder it. I just want to know the solution.

I am also somewhat obsessive. When I find something I like...I like in the extreme. I don't do anything by halves. Which is why I own 12 pairs of crocs. Or why I bought 10 bottles of soap today from Bath and Body Works. Or why I could tell you everything you need to know about the Disney Dining Plan.

You combine these two attributes...and well. Some meds might be in order.

I want to know all the secrets of LOST. And I surely don't think I can wait 23o-something days for just the next season to start. And then I have another season to go before my questions are answered. And even then...I have a feeling there will still be unsolved mysteries. Yep, might need some meds to get me through the winter.

Or...how should I deal with the "Twilight Saga?" Now, I may not have given it a glowing review...but that does not mean I am not counting down the days until the next book comes out. 57 days. 190 days till the movie.

I'm impatiently waiting for the next installment in Heather's love saga. When will Papa Bear finally kiss her? And I don't even have a countdown for that. Definitely going to have to get a little seratonin in me. Or perhaps I can self medicate with peanut m&ms.

(Now...go down and pause the music. And sing along...while we "Bring Paxil Back")

Crud. I missed it.

I was confused because I didn't pause the music at the end and I had no idea what that video was about.

Then I figured it out.

Then I went back to first grade.

:)

Danielle--First of all welcome! Blogger has so many quirks. Glad you figured it out...and hopefully watched the video. And are working on your doctor's note...

I'm kind of OCD right along with you when it comes to things like LOST and Twilight. I learned to deal with when I was addicted to Harry Potter because I joined a Harry Potter site and talked about it a lot with lots of different people who were just as obsessed as I was. My problem comes in when, 2 months from now, I want to still talk about LOST with my husband who is "over it" until the next season starts and I'm still mulling and contemplating and going AHHHHH!!

I loved the Twilight Books even though I dislike Bella. Although, I do understand why she's the way she is. She had a pretty crappy upbringing and she's a 17/18 year old girl. Most 17/18 year old girls are drama queeny melodramatic puddles of hormones. She's typical, and someone that most girls can, unfortunately, identify with. I do, however, adore Edward. *sigh* Edward. *looks away pensively* Why? Because he represents "traditional" male roles. He's a protector, a provider and he's damn powerful. I'll take him.

Girl...get you some Lexapro. It works. I used it when we moved from city life to country living and after 6 months I was fine as wine. And it has a "low occurrence of sexual side effects." I put that out there 'cause I know your girls are gone for a couple more days.

Way to not half ass anything! I found you on the SITS blog and I don't blame you for buying 10 lotions at Bath & Body works... especially since there is an awesome sale going on. I also am counting down the days until Twilight comes to the theater and Book 4 hits stands too so don't feel bad.

I have a touch of the OCD as well. So much so that I had to give up nearly every TV series I was watching. I couldn't stand it!The intrigue, the suspense, the stress. It was too much. So my life is much more peaceful now that I am not tied to something every week or multiple times per week. No more Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy, just me and the Deadliest Catch fisherman. Oh, and a little Food Network too.

Bath & Bodyworks IS having a great sale. I made some purchases myself.

Your Paxil video was HILARIOUS!! Oh my gosh. That was sooo funny. Where on earth did you find that? Oh, wait, You Tube, I'm guessing.

Hilarious post, Kat. Put a little Seratonin in me too...especially waiting for LOST.

Rhea--yippee...you got that I had to come up with text to accompany that hilarious video. I had a friend that emailed it to me...you tube for sure. The things that people create! And I love that Justin Timberlake song...how can you not sing a long...But I will surely not listen to it the same way again :-)

Aaaah. Now I understand a little better how you got all this blogging stuff lookin' so sophisticated so quickly. Carry on....

Tali--I can get a smidge ocd about some things. And I love to make lists. Such a feeling of accomplishment to scratch things off. But my shows and my books...biding my time is not my forte.

Lula--the girls come home tomorrow. And I found out that Katie had pink eye. I hope she wasn't too lonely while she was in quarrantine!

Erin--welcome! And I am so glad that someone else can relate to my obsessions.

Angie--Give up LOST? Well...I'll tell ya it's tempting...to stop and wait until the series is done. And then I can obsess over a short period of time to get my answers and then move on. We used to do that with 24...watch in the summertime over a week or so...and everything was pretty much resolved at the end of the year.

Susan--Ahhh...I hadn't quite thought of it like that :-) But yes, I studied before I began...

There are times when I obsess night and day, day and night, night and day (you get the picture). Gotta have everything just right, gotta figure out all the details right now, now now. Or else the world will surely stop. Won't it??? And then I grab the extra dark chocolate and a little red wine and aaaahhh.

Teri--And obsess about getting this blogging stuff right, huh? Is it just women that do this. Where our brains are just on rapid fire 24/7? Where men just think of one thing at a time...not 37 bazillion things and their interrelationships? I need a nap...

You are too funny!! I have to say I went through a serious depression when they took ALIAS off the air. Oh Sidney, how I miss you...

Medicate if you need to Kat, but we're here for you!!

Kat- I think we may be one in the same person! ONE of my lists had a trip to Bath and Body and another list has CHECK for new croc colors for the boys!!! TOO funny! Can't wait to hear all about camp!

Stephanie--See...I knew I could find kindred spirits out here in blogland. Much easier than looking to my neighbors to help me obsess over LOST or "Twilight." But, I think peanut m&ms are really the solution to all my problems. Well...except the one about my pants getting too small.

Staci--I have a multiple personality? Who knew? Do you like peanut m&ms, too? I just found out Crocs has Hannah Montana ones...so I'll be ordering those for the girls. Because you know, their others are worn out. Really.

I can get really obsessive too! However, it's not with the stuff that would be helpful...like laundry or housecleaning or budgeting. Those things get halfway done and I don't care. But blogging? Full on have a problem. Yep, I do.

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Heather--what are you doing commenting over here? Not that I don't love a comment from you. But, really, you need to be finishing your story. Please!

Debbie said...

Kat...I just love and adore you.

Nissa said...

I'm the same way, Kat.

But WTH is the Disney Dining Plan?? Do explain!

Oh, where would I be without paxil? Even with it I couldn't get the last twilight book of my mind. How cruel for her to make us wait so long for the next book, couldn't she write a little faster. I'm struggling a bit without American Idol, but So you think you can dance is sorta helping. Thanks for for a good laugh, your hilarious!
